The clients for this project were looking to downsize from a large home on acreage, to a house that would be more suited to them as they transitioned
into their retirement years.
The project formed one house of a two houses that were built on the site as part of a dual occupancy development. The house was located at the rear
of the site and designed to suit the sloping site and take full advantage of the north aspect for the main living areas. Rustic materials such
as colorond cladding, recycled red bricks and timber were used in this native treed setting. The design included double garage, main bedroom, powder
room and kitchen and living areas at ground level, with two additional bedrooms at first floor with main bathroom and a study nook. The completed
build provided the clients with a spacious & beautiful home, that was also practical and very functional.
