This delightful weatherboard cottage home consisted of three bedrooms and one bathroom when the client purchased the property. It was ideally situated facing north at the rear of the property with a reasonable gradient sloping from the front to the rear of the site.
The brief was to create a four bedroom home with ensuite to master bedroom and a second main bathroom, along with a new main living area to incorporate a kitchen, dining, walk in pantry, powder room and living area + a deck leading to the garden.
The design solution was a separate pavilion style addition which was stepped down the site from the original dwelling and connected to the original dwelling via a glazed link with steps. This approach allowed for a modern design with skillion roof with large stacking sliding doors leading to entertaining deck and garden.
